Fertility Specialists of Houston offers their patients support services including; classes, individual counseling and support groups. By taking advantage of these services, patients can get help with alleviating the feelings of isolation and provide meaningful connections with other patients who are experiencing the same emotional issues.

Leslee Murphy, LCSW is a member of the FSH treatment team, Leslee provides counseling to individuals/couples and also offers several educational/support groups and classes.

Individual/Couples Counseling

Counseling may help patients cope with feelings of depression, loss/grief, helplessness, anger, isolation and frustration. Counseling with couples may alleviate the stressors of infertility by addressing the issues of intimacy, communication and decision-making between partners.

The Fertility Forum: Coping With Fertility 101

This educational class is offered for patients struggling with the emotional impact of infertility. Patients will have an opportunity to learn coping skills and resources in a supportive environment. This session will focus on issues such as managing stress, relationship issues, and coping with emotions. Partners are encouraged to attend. Classes are free of charge.

IVF 'C.A.R.E" Class ( Coping- Answers-Resources-Education)

This educational class is offered monthly for patients considering or undergoing IVF (in Vitro). This session helps couples prepare for the physical, social and psychological effects of IVF. Partners are strongly encouraged to attend. Classes are free of charge. The following issues will be addressed:

Reproductive Wellness Program

This 8 week course meets weekly to provide a mind/body approach to coping and conquering infertility. A support group can help alleviate the feelings of isolation and provide meaningful connections with other patients experiencing the same feelings of stress, anxiety, grief and fear. This program focuses on the following topics: Support, Coping, Cognitive Restructuring, and Relaxation Techniques.

The additional classes below are led by Leslee Murphy, a clinical social worker and there is no charge for attendance. Partners are welcome and participation is not limited to FSH patients.
